Riley has been adopted!
Riley went down on the TG Bus to a foster to adopt home in Fort Langley. Yesterday Marka phoned to say she was a keeper! Even though she was a brat and stole all of Bear’s toys, dug up all of his trasures that he had buried outside and pooed indoors the first night - she has many redeeming qualities. Like a human foster child who pushes the limits because they are fearful to trust - so did Riley. But Marka understood. And gave Riley routine, boundaries and most important - love. The second night Riley stayed on her bed and was clean. She is a social butterfly and helped Bear socialize too. She is very happy and runs like a deer but listens well. She has a reliable recall, sits, downs, knows what stay means and has a lot of potential. Our brat is learning how to be a good girl. And now has a home who understands a problem child - thank you Marka for giving Riley her chance to shine!

Yesterday I went out with my trusty camera and took pictures of Jetta and Shama and found a great picture of my big guy Squire who was behind Shama (who will be renamed Tinker Bell by her new family) when I called “puppy, puppy) and she came a-running.
one of the best pictures I have of Squire!
This the email where I learned how Tinker got her name chosen -

Bronson needs a strong leader who isn’t afraid of him! He is an awesome dog and very affectionate but he does try to “push” his weight. He is great here - he knows I am top Dog and abides by the rules - he greets all visotors man or dog with a wagging tail. He is “controlled” with just a touch on his massive head - he is always at my side and his head is waist high! He knows that I am in charge so he isn’t. Just a wonderful dog but needs an experienced dog owner! He is also very playful, helps “carry” firewood and can jump this fence - but he isn’t a wanderer. He is a “nanny” to all the pups, even the tinies love him - everyone sleeps on or around him. He is a house dog too. Likes the woodstove. If the right person comes for him then away he goes.
