Spay day at Turtle Gardens
It was chilly this morning when the alarm rang - we have been letting the woodstove go out during the night. It looks like rain and is quite damp. Today is spay day for Rina and Anna two little girls that have adoptive homes - Rina in Coutneay and Anna in Vancouver. Both were looking for food and water this morning as were the puppies! Everybody fasts on spay day eve. The girls were leashed while the coffee was brewing. Dave was up lickety split and food and water was put down for the hungry mob as Dave walked out to the TG Bus. Rina pulled out of her harness at the gate and Dave spilled his jar of change (gas money). Anna went quietly to the van while I called Rina to me. She was not a happy camper. She knew something was up and she wasn’t having any part of going out the gate. She likes it here! Lots of food and water, good company and a dry soft bed to sleep in. It is the best home she has ever had. Dave picked her up and she was soon in the van - sorry girl but you have to be spayed, and vaccinated. The best is yet to come - a yuppie puppie home for you.
Rina - wearing her harness.
Anna - sur elooks like Rina doesn’t she? No relation tho.
I like the pictures with the background removed and the green colour added instead. It shows the dog’s face so much better. Especially with the dark/black dogs. I have been told that they look phoney. What do you think?

I like the regular photos because it shows where they are coming from. I agree it does help show up the dogs to change the back ground but i guess I adopted from a regular picture and felt the enormous need to find the dogs a home although they are in a great place…Both are great but I love the pictures and the dogs playing and interacting… their funny personalities seem to come through. I just hope they all find homes quickly. They all look wonderful.
