Extra speuter day and help for floodwatch

Filed under: Uncategorized — yvette @ 1:53 pm

I was awake a few minutes before the alarm and was just going back to sleep when the radio turned on. Rats another spay day! Soon the coffee was on and Possum was in his crate for his big adventure. The puppies were all around my feet complaining  about their breakfast. Sorry - you have to wait a half hour until Dave leaves with the speuters. It didn’t take long and Dave was up and ready to go. He carried Possum and I lead Emma and Bella out the gate. Both girls balked - there was a large pool of water at the gate - they didn’t want to get their feet wet. The TG Bus was on his way to Burns with the speuters - SPay and nEUTER. Three more puppers getting ready to go to their new homes.

Rina has a clean bill of health yesterday - she weighs 17 pounds while Anna also ready for her new home - she weighs 23 pounds! Little Peanut weighs all of 6 pounds and is on antibiotics for gingivitis from her rotten teeth. She is about 9 years old and will be put under to clean her teeth and extract the bad ones as soon as her antibiotics ar edone. Lilianna is in full blown demodex so she has antibiotics for th esecondary infection, a new treatment ofr her demodex and an appointment for her spay - urgent as she is pregnant.  So next week Lilianna will have surgery. My vet was enthralled with her loving temperament and sweet personality. We will do our best for this girl.

Dave had quite a wonderful surprise when he got to the vet yeaterday. Our two sons and two grandkids were there.

Stan and Dave leaving Surrey!

Dave came up with Stan - Stan did the driving up in Dave ’s car to help with moving "stuff" to higher ground!! Aren’t kids the greatest!! Dave spent the day with us and drove back to Surrey with Calvin - Dave had to go back to work and Cal to school. Thank you son!

Stan has a type A personality so a lot has been done!! We ARE flooding - how bad it will get remains to be seen. Thank goodness for a hard working son who rushed up here to help his mom and dad. And all the dogs too. We are very lucky!

Water is up to the greenhouse!

4 wheel drive needed !

Soon all of this will be in our yard, next to the house! I have started packing my valuables and files. There will be nothing on the floors - we need to be ready to leave. On the plus side big big news:

PLATO HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!!! He will live in Smithers with a family with two small children - he was excellent with the 3 year old - so very gentle. His walking skills were a major factor in his adoption as was his placid nature. Good luck big fellow - be good!
