Kate’s “Going home pak” for her TG Sponsors!
April 20, 2007
Hi..
Well here is the box of things I’ve sent, I really wish it could be a really, really big box, and if this is something that you think will help, I will put together another box for you…
Now before you think that it cost, well money of coursefor a working person is always hard to come by, but I know every little bit helps… and you know its nice to be involved in something I believe in. Geesh if everyone sent a box, you’d be swimming in collars and leashes! The paks were not that expensive to make, when you sponsor a dog, I think you should go the whole route, until they find a home. If anyone wants to make one here is the breakdown.
Collar…. $1.00
Leash..$8.99 for a 6ft lead. (the 4ft lead is 7.99 Petsmart was sold out tho, or I would have sent those)
Bandana… .98 (I make these for Lucy, cause this is what I suppose a bandana should look like, the bought ones are crazy for price, and there is no material in them, it takes 10 minutes to make, I put Velcro on hers but you have to know the neck size. So for a little over $11.00 you have a nice home pak, to send to your sponsor.
If you like the bandanas, I’ll make enough for your resident dogs, I think SweetPea would look nice in green, you’ve mentioned Squire, and Daves dog, but I’m sure you have more…. Hmmm just what you need "Bandanna Dayz at Turtle Gardens" lol ! Like you don’t have enough to do!
All the best,
Kate
and of course
Lucy
Which one is mine? The leashes are reflective for at night safety! Sponsor this pup and you can name her! She is Emma’s pup so is from the nautical family. She is 10 weeks old so will be a small medium size but will look like a miniature german shepherd.
Will I get big enough for this collar? This two babies are 12 days old - their eyes have been opened for two days!! They don’t have names - their mom is Bonny Lassie and there is 10 of them that need their own sponsors to name them. Can you help? 7 girls and 3 boys - 5 are siberian husky - 5 are blonde like mom. Only 1 husky boy!!
"Can I see, can I see" says Ginger the busy - super busy toller pup.

What a neat idea, so thoughtful. And as someone who tries to walk dogs at TG I know collars especially are always in short supply. Of course when someone is adopted there goes another collar.
Thank you Kate.

:wink:Not a problem Lorna, Dollar Land in Abbotsford (I pretty much cleaned out all 3 stores) will be getting more collars and leashes in, I already gave them advanced warning I would be back, as I explained to them who they were for. I had fun making up the “home paks” and I’m hoping it will catch on for the other sponsors as well. I got the idea really from Yvette, when I got Lucy, she came with a brand new leash, (which I still use), and it really meant a lot to me that she would have thought to send one, just paying it forward that’s all !
