Stress at Turtle Gardens
This is just a short blog as there really is very little time for the computer. The water is past the greenhouse and coming into the yard. The river is over its banks below us. But the hill acroos the road is melting into our yard! Lots of snow this year.
This article from www.interior-news.com titled: Flooding, not a matter of if, but when: Stoltenberg Says it all! the entire Lakes District/Bulkley Nechako is going to flood. It isn’t just us but all of us. The plus side is how green and clean it will be afterwards. The positive is what I need to look at not the negative. Not whether we will have enough money to do it all but Yes we will be able to do it. all. The money will be there when we need. I believe.
Water by the greenhouse - this is draining into the yard. The gate pathway is under two feet of water.
behind our house.
over the bank!
Thank you Kate for the gift of Jellybean’s Chimes. They are hanging in the kitchen doorway next to his old spot - they ring every time we go through to remind us. Your letter of condolence touched both Dave and I. Thank you for remembering our Jellybean. (The bird in this picture is Eric the Red our retired breeder Crison Rosella - he is a rescue too. )

Wow that’s a lot more water than when I was there earlier in the week! Time for more sandbags
