In Honour of SunnyA 3rd birthday present for "Sunny" (formerly called Alfred) who was rescued by Turtle Gardens and adopted by us in September 2004. He’s the best little pal we could ever ask for. Happy birthday Sunny!

Alfred was one of "Lassie’s" pups! She was found on the side of the road with a cracked pelvis. Below her in a culvert were 7 pups - this is one of them. Thank you so very much!

This is to sponsor the scared girl and I’m really thinking she looks like a "Heidi" girl to me ! She is an absolute doll, and someone will be lucky enough to enjoy all the happiness this little one has to give.

Thank you for your kind words. Everyone likes to hear their life work means something. It certainly does to the animals - most like it here! This is the first time for most that they have been inside a building much less a home. Yet they are so forgiving and appreciative of anything they are given. They are the rhyme and reason for what I do - so are Happy endings!

Hi Gillian and Rob L
I am Lassie’s mom and if you have a picture of Sunny A (Alfred) I would love to see him. I have always wondered what happened to all of Lassie’s pups and what they would look like. Lassie continues to thrive, she has come such a long way and has much more confidence and is absolutely beautiful. I’m not sure how to attach a photo, maybe Yvette can help here, and I’ll post of photo of her and her buds. Best wishes to all. Elaine

Hi Elaine,
Wow - that’s wonderful that you found us! Like you, we have always wondered what happened to Lassie (and all her other puppies). I’ll try emailing some photos to Yvette, and maybe she can pass them along to you. Sunny is the most amazing little pal - he grew up to look so much like his mom (from what I remember of her). He’s about 40 lbs, always active, totally loyal, and very bright (so he KNOWS that he shouldn’t be eating food off the counter, but manages to sneak it in when we’re not looking anyway). Everyone always asks us what breed he is, but we’ve started to simply say he is “yellow”. Or sometimes, we’ll say he is a “Topley Collie”, to which they nod their head knowingly, as if to accept him as a rare and special breed. Indeed he is! Has Lassie recovered from the hip injury? It really is the most amazing survival story for both her and her pups. Photos to come!…
