Spay day at Turtle Gardens

Filed under: Turtle Gardens Diary — yvette @ 3:18 pm

There is a locum at my veterinarian’s office so we have spay days again!! It has been very busy for my veterinarians lately with holidays and everything else. This morning saw two dogs go - one and a spare!! Orphan Annie may be too pregnant to spay so Heidi went along just in case. Catherine called me at noon to let me know that Orphie had been spayed after all and that they would keep Heidi over and she would be spayed with the pound pup on Friday. How great is that!! Dave is gone to pick up Orphie and the two new pound boys who were neutered yesterday. Then on Saturday when he takes the 14 puppies in for their 2nd vaccinations, he will pick up Heidi and the pound girl who will also be spayed on Friday. Economical driving!!

Pretty little Heidi girl!

My Sweetpea with little Orphie!!

  1. you have such beautiful dogs there. I have mentioned reserve dogs to folks and they look at my like HUH? They immediately think of multi cross type of dogs that you see in Mexico living on the streets..those are still nice dogs but yours are just lovely..so many so pretty or handsome and very desirable for most adopters if they will just take a look…

  2. TG dogs are the best because they are loved - even before they find their furever homes. I couldn’t have asked for better dogs than Honey Bear (formerly Lady Hazelton) and Jaxon (fomerly Rudy). Honey was devastated, psyhologically, when she was a baby. As a result of Stan’s care and patience, though, she was well on the way to recovery by the time she came to live with us. I’ve continued to work with her over the past 4 years (wow…..has it been that long?) and she has become a well-adjusted, resilient, happy dog. She even surprised Uncle Stan when she went to visit him and Kelsey in April. Our hurt girlie has done me proud.
