A foster update!

Filed under: Turtle Gardens Diary — yvette @ 3:47 pm

This picture is self explanatory - what we saw this morning!

Harley is knee deep in fresh snow this morning.

The day started off on a positive note with the arrival of Patrelli’s family from Prince George. Little Emily was thrilled with her new doggie and Patrelli was in heaven - he had a child to love!! He sat in front of Emily and tried to be gentle with his kisses. He was soon loaded into the car and shown his own seat beside his little person. Patrelli did come back to me to say goodbye and thank you then he went into his seat and waited for Emily to be strapped in. He then lay down with his head on her lap. Be good with the kitties Patrelli - you have a good family!

Handsome little Patrelli!

Then a call from Rose from Bandstra  www.bandstra.com/
to tell us that another pallet had arrived, so Dave called his friend Brian who owns a 1 ton truck and they went to Houston to pick it all up. What a treasure trove of canned food, toys, blankets, towels and bags and bags of premium kibble. Thank you so very much for your generosity and a special thank you to John Bandstra and the kind people who work there. Your kindness is appreciated by all the dogs you have helped. And a very big THANK YOU to everyone who came together to help these Sheriff dogs regain their health. We are humbled by your kindness.

Lorna has put up her blog about Aspen her Sheriff dog foster: it is at myrescuedog.turtlegardens.org/
Check it all out!!
Aspen on a walk with her foster mom - Lorna.

And an update from Chantelle who has taken in two more of my Sheriff dogs - the two boxer wannabe’s through - www.rescueaboxer.ca/

This is what Chantelle wrote:

Well I thought I’d send you both a little laugh!  The girls are now
settling in nicely.  They are running around chasing each other and
doing great in the house.  Pretty Girl can and will jump all baby gates
so we will be watching her carefully.  She was also leaving spots all
over the floor so I improvised, ever seen a pup in a pull up, hehe!

3Penny is in heat so she wearing "pull-ups" to stay clean.

The other girl is most likely her mom and she was spayed last week!

Thank you Chantelle for the update and pictures - it really makes my day so much happier to see how well they are doing! Chantelle has a blog here: rescueaboxer.blogspot.com/

  1. What a great blog story to start my day…The snow actualy looks great compared to the endless rain here in Vancouver. Good luck Partrelli, thank you to the good folks at Bandstra, love the pic Lorna, and thanks to Boxer Rescue for your help as well - I will tell Ivan and “Billy”!
