Turtle Gardens Updates and new arrival

Filed under: Turtle Gardens Diary — yvette @ 1:43 pm

The weather outside was frightful – snow coming down in huge flakes!! Stan and Kelsey made it home here at 5.30 am. Thank doG they made it safe! It is still snowing a sticky snow that covers the branches in fairy tale splendor. Not so the roads! They are treacherous! Today is a stay at home day. At least until the snowplow clears the roads.

Yesterday we had a visit from a lady who told us that we were her last resort for her little dog. Myra’s problem – she is not housebroken. She will be 2 years old on February 5th, has had a litter of pups and is a bit shy. My mistake was looking into her little face. Turtle Gardens welcomes Myra.

A big yawn at the camera!!
Myra is a chihuahua/pomeranian mix  - under 10 pounds of love!!

And here is an update on my little Fragglerock now renamed Tucker the Trucker buddy!

 Fragglerocke’s family  blog!!

And little Bailey who “knew” her mom right away! She ran to her and jumped up to say “hello – where have you been?”  She has totally turned from a “lost little soul” to a happy go-lucky fun loving companion. What a perfect match!

 Hi Yvette,

It’s lucky I called you when I did! Next called Vickey to tell her we’re home safely….think Bailey’s nose was out of joint I wasn’t throwing more toys for her. So she simply bit the telephone cord ^_^ Guess I know what we’re doing tomorrow!

The living room is now strewn with both CAT and DOG toys from one end to the other. She’s just pranced in here with a kong toy in her mouth. Honestly, Yvette, I’ve never had a dog who’s played SO much. And frankly, I wouldn’t have thought Bailey would KNOW how to play. SHE DOES! She’s also just played with ball up and down the hall…AND she knows how to DROP it on request. Amazing!

Brushed her a bit. She wasn’t so sure but got into the swing of it…especially the bristle one on her belly. Guess she didn’t want Zack’s slicker brush…"a new one just for me would be nicer….I’ll just bite the handle and then I’m sure my Mom will take pity and get me one of my own". Guess you know the other store we’ll be visiting in Courtenay tomorrow ^_^

All for now….

Susan & Bailey

PS Just went out for a 2nd poo, ON leash!

And finally Little Lizzie now renamed Daisy:

Our beautiful Daisy is fitting in really well. She loves to play and her walks are really special to her.
Rocky is accepting but hesitant. Daisy just goes with the flow.We are really enjoying her. thank-you with love Jo-Ann Ralston.I will keep you posted.
