The TG Bus needs a doctor!

Filed under: Turtle Gardens Diary — yvette @ 2:32 pm

Last night’s trip had Stan calling Dave for advice - the TG Bus was having transmission problems. He did manage to drive down to Surrey but now he needs a transmission specialist. Do any of our readers recommend a transmission person in the lower mainland? Someone you would trust with your vehicle?  Someone who can tell Stan what we need to get the TG Bus running  up to par again? Either email me, or comment here. One of us will get right back to you. Thanks.

Debra sent a beautiful picture of her two TG alumni - Indi and Mairin.
Indi and Mairin in front of the fireplace!

I have found one name for my pound pups! I still need a name for the little one - the maltipoo! and the big guy - pyr/border collie!!

TG introduces Diggory which means stray or lost - an apt name for this little lost character:

Diggory is settling in very well!

  1. That’s not-so-good news about TG Bus, has Stan found someone yet to look at the
    transmission?
Have the pound pups found names yet? If not, here are a few, see if you think these
    are suitable,
For the little malti-poo - Abby, Hannah, Cleo
For the boy - Hudson, Jackson, Casey

  2. I’m very glad they made it to the city before total breakdown! I’m an islander and don’t know of mainlander specialists. Hope someone can recommend a good repair shop!

Love the name Diggory for the little man. For the big boy: What do you think of Marlow? Apparently it’s an old name that originally meant “Drift Wood,” became a place name meaning “Hill by the Lake” and eventually morphed into “Optimism or Home Lover.”

P.S. It actually snowed here in Victoria yesterday and was sleeting this morning… now you northern folks can laugh at us!

  3. How about Girlie or Scruffy for the little girl

  4. Yvette: Tremblay Motors in Vancouver have been servicing our vehicles for 20+ years (just fabulous), and I just talked to Sam Tremblay. He said to have Stan contact Wilf’s Transmissions (7th & Yukon) - phone: 604-872-5347 and to say that Sam Tremblay referred you. He says they are the BEST.

    Good luck,
    Carrie
