The TG Bus is on its way!

Filed under: Turtle Gardens Diary — yvette @ 3:09 pm

Another adoption trip is underway. Dave and Bear left Topley at 3pm - which is later than he wanted but Murphy’s Law was busy working its wiles on TG.

The first one loaded was Beckett - he is a sherriff dog and he is going to Victoria.

Beckett learning to be an inside companion.

Then it was Laddie who is not doing as well as he should here. He doesn’t like kibble and there isn’t any people food here either which is what he would prefer. He has been eating canned food but he is still nervous of the bigger dogs. I am so glad eh will have long walks with his own senior - and no other dogs to share his home with. Good luck Laddie - you sure a sweet little fellow. He is going to Ashcroft. He has a bright blue collar and matching leash.

Laddie under the table hoping for a handout.

Juliette was next. She is wearing a new collar with matching leash - all the way from Las Vegas!! She is a lively, funny, good natured companion and she is going to Langley! She will be learning manners and obedience - she is going to work with her new Dad!

Juliette is a "people" dog!

Our little Chunky Munky has a home too! Niki has lost 13 pounds! He now weighs a svelte 14 pounds. He is feeling oh so much better. He can jump into the van all by himself! He now looks like what he is; a middle aged little fellow - not a senior! Our vets were very pleased with him at his adoption check up - he looks great! He is going to Surrey.

Niki sitting in the van - his favorite place! Dave will miss his sleeping partner!

Zoey who LOVES Bear was next. She will sit close to the front so she can be near Bear. Zoey is the first adoption - she will be living in 100 Mile House!

Zoey - kitties are your best friends!

Allie - puppy was next. They were all vaccinated (second one) and vet checked. She has gained 10 pounds in just one month! She is bright, confident and very social. All of them ask for the door to go outside. How cool is that?
Allie is going to the Island too.

Jaime is finally going first to her foster then with Norm,  a long distance trucker to Saskatchewan! Thank you Irene for fostering Jaime and Norm for driving her home! Jaime has waited three years for her very own special person.

Jaime is a sharpei mix and also a dwarf!

And last but not least: Haley. Haley is going to Burnaby where she will enjoy long walks and lots of cuddles. Haley likes her own special person although she is social. Good luck Haley - Val has been waiting a long tome for you!

Be happy Haley!

OOPs - can’t forget Hercules!! Hercules is going to North Vancouver where his soccer playing skills will keep his active family busy!

Have fun Hercules - you are such a good boy!

And a local adoption today as well!

Lexie went home today! Her family lives in Smithers!

  1. Wow, what a day! Yvette, I wonder about the history of Dave’s “Apple Dumpling Gang”?? Is Jaime still going to the home he had in Regina? Is she over her meds.? I’m ever so happy to hear Haley has a home of her own as well and is off on her new adventure. Chunky Munky, 13 lbs. wow! I need to come for a visit, just won’t stay so long! that is like half his body weight, good for all of you! I can’t wait to meet him. Sounds like Puff/Puck dog is settling right on it, sure has to put big smiles on all our faces! How’s the flooding doing? Lynda
