Another abandoned dog at Turtle Gardens

Filed under: Turtle Gardens Diary — yvette @ 2:38 pm

Dave went to the credit union today in Houston and when he came out he found his TG Bus was blocked. No one was around and so he sat for a few minutes wondering what was going on. Just when he decided to go inside again fuming he met a gentleman who asked if he was Dave? Then he said there was an abandoned dog next door to his house. The little dog was all alone for two weeks now he said and nobody realized that they were gone in the middle of the night. Dave followed him - the little dog was at his house and Dave brought him home. Turtle Gardens welcomes a senior!!
How could they just walk away from this old guy??

And Jana asked me if I had received the parcel with the red leash and soap and chocolates. I am embarrassed to say yes I did and forgot to mention it on the blog!! The leash and collar went home with Amelia. The guys ate the chocolates and the soap is on my bathroom windowsill. Dave got in trouble - he opened it and was going to USE it!! It smells so good!!! I enjoy it every time I go into the bathroom. Thank you!!

My soapy window! Pretty and smells wonderful too - I love purple and roses.

I am very surprised at my little Shiba Inu. He is not at all what I expected. He is friendly, well behaved, and gets along well with the other dogs. He loves Bear and my granddaughter’s friend Jim has him whining and yapping in ecstasy! What a nice little dog!

And he is so very handsome too.

  1. thats to bad some people just left him behind in the house like that. some are so inhumane but at least he has a fresh start and a road to a better life. i was thinkin if u dont have a name for the old fella i would like to suggest one. “SURA” in the inuit language it means” green leaf or new life, new begginnings”. and the beautiful shiba inu “SAGHANI” that means raven , just the color of his coat its jet black . they were jus some suggestions.

  2. Yvette,

I’m glad you like the soap, I have some as well, it makes the room smell so good. Glad you could put the leash to use - Amelia was one of my favorites, so it’s nice it went with her!
For future, is there any size of leash that you find yourself most in need of? (small, medium, large?)

Shame on the person for abandoning their dog - poor boy must have been so frightened and confused - hopefully will find a good caring home this time around.

The names suggested in the previous comment are interesting and have a nice ring to them - could work well with either dog. By the way, the little Shibu Inu is so cute…as always, you have so many nice dogs….I always spread the word about TG when people ask where we got Grey (and we get lots of comments and questions about him - in a good way!!)
