Turtle Gardens Animal Rescue

Sometimes rescue is helping someone keep their dog. I received a phone call yesterday from a social worker – one of her “kids” is a 16 year old boy whose best friend is a little black and white dog named “Butter”. Butter is his lifeline – she is his therapy. She is also a female and females go into heat. Butter looks like a smooth version of Charlee, is about the same age and is a wonderful girl. Turtle Gardens was asked if we could help – our spay neuter program is $50 for the voucher but that doesn’t include vaccinations and deworming – this boy has no income and no family to help him. Butter has never been dewormed or vaccinated. I said to make the appointment and I would ask my supporters for help for Butter. Butter also needed a ride to the vet clinic, a foster for her fasting and a foster for recuperation. Thank you Laurel – who stepped up to help Butter and her boy. I figure we need $50 for her spay, and another $50 for her vaccinations and worming. Can you help us help Butter?

Hi Yvette – here are a few of pictures of ‘Butter’. So far there have been $40 of donations at the vet, for Wednesday’s surgery. And Laurel Hudson has agreed to do the support work re transport, and surgery fasting/prep. I am feeling very fortunate with all the help I’ve received in my endeavor to help a boy and a dog, and thank you again.
