It is a chilly morning today -18!! Thank doG for the woodstove or dragon as Dave calls her – she is a hungry beast who keeps us all very warm. Winter has arrived.
I have finally decided to accept Lisa”s challenge – $2 – a toonie for every pound lost – starting December 1st to April 1st! That is today! I have been officially weighed at my Doctor’s office. Only the sponsors will know my weight . Sorry.
I will keep my sponsors apprised of every rise and fall. It will be tough I know but with your support – I can do it! My treadmill has arrived – thank you Roz. Now to use it in short spurts 5 or 6 times a day.
My prize will be a lawn swing!! I have always wanted one and now I can earn one with my loss and feel better too. Thank you for urging me and helping me get better.
The newbies are slowly integrating. Cawston is doing well – he is neutered while Lewis needs his neuter sooner rather than later. I may have to bump one of the girls this week. He has few dog skills and with his abusive past is sketchy with people – he is very slow to trust. He is high strung and nervous which may account for his thinness. He was wormed yesterday with drontal plus to ensure it was not parasites. He is eating well and sleeps in the wire crate – he eats there too as he is food aggressive. I am hoping his neuter will mellow him out – he is a handsome boy with his boxer face and one blue eye.

p.s. I took LB on a 2 hour walk/training session last night….what a smart little guy he is. Quick to learn! We started with healing, sitting at intersections, waiting to go through doors second (not first!) and staying on the same side of any lamposts as me (I love that one….they always look so lost when they find themselves on the wrong side of a pole and can’t figure out how to reach you….they do learn fast though….usually after a few times of realizing they can backtrack around the pole). I’ll send you a full update for Petfinder at the end of week 1.

I know a very very nice doggie walker in Richmond. Her name is Jisabelle.
She had helped me to spread the word, spread the hand outs AND…………….she will be more than willing to foster doggies for TG.
I shall go to visit her home. She is reallly a nice lady who LOVES dogs. She never heard of TG. Now she does.
Would you be interested ?.

Lisa B, I’m in there for Yvette at the toonie as well, was I one of the original 3? Sharon has the right idea about how to let us know the progress and Yvette we’ll all be thinking of you lounging in that swing with the dogs for audience coming this spring. I will be watching the Victoria news tomorrow night to hopefully see the fashion show and T.G.’s dogs.,,,well actually I just want to see the dogs, good looking men?? Also, Yvette today I met up with Magnum, formally ‘Squirt’, he is such a cutie station wagon type I had to ask if he was from T.G.’s….. Also hope you got my parcel with collars, coffee etc.,,ha ha I found the card I had written to put in with it amongst all the bandanas!!!! Time to clean up here! Lynda, Jordan and Ella p.s. Yvette, wow what a memory you have of the dogs, yes, Squirt now Magnum is white with black and he has a sister, Emma to keep him company. I told him to be reading your great blog and he asked when the next get together was and I said about the hike at Crowley , end of August. He was walking by my daughter’s so I will keep my eyes open for him again! It was indeed a perfect dog walking day down here today, what a treat after all the monsoons! Lynda
