My neighbor took this photo after mocking me for dressing us the same!
Hi Ladies and Dave, just wanted to pass on an update on Lola. I have a hard time talking about her without gushing! She is the best dog! She is my little shadow in the house, and always ready for a kiss and a cuddle. Outside she is fierce (in a good way) she is afraid of little and loves to explore and check things out. She is always on the move and loves meeting all the other dogs we run into. She was a little barky initially when we met people but now that she is more used to it she rarely barks. We live backing onto the Coquitlam River trails, so we walk there every day. She never gets too far away (and I keep a sharp eye out for coyotes and the bear that’s been seen in the area) but when she runs to catch up, it’s priceless.. Flat out greyhound like run with little grunts with each step. Cracks me up every time.
I am thankful every day for her, and for you guys and everyone behind the scenes who work so selflessly to help these dogs and get them to homes where they can be treasured!
Here’s a few pictures of Lola and my other dog, Houston. As you can see, her leg healed perfectly and she doesn’t favor it at all.
I looked over to check on Lola while preparing brunch for some friends, and this is what I saw: Lola had some groupies! “Well, someone’s got to get ready to go to work so she can pay for all those dog treats”
