Neuter Day and Puppy vaccination day at TG K9 Rescue!

I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. My medical trip went well, my appointments show that I am as well as can be expected just gotta lose more weight!! I do have to say that getting older is not for wimps.

The new guy that came in while I was away has gone in today for his neuter. What an incredibly nice boy he is. To me he looks like a black version of Mr Beans – the boxer. What do you think?

The new fellow face

He has a docked tail

He walks well on leash, and jumped into the back of the bus on his own. What a good boy!

Dave then came home to round up Mattisue’s puppies as they are now 8 weeks old and ready for their first vet check and vaccinations. They are bouncy and friendly. I will take pictures of them once they come home again.

Brian went the other way to Smithers to pick up a pup from Babine Pet Hospital. He had been hit by a car Monday afternoon. Thank you Nicky for driving him to Smithers and thank Dr Callie for taking care of him after hours. He has been badly bruised, was in shock but has recovered fairly well. He is Jerome’s brother. He looks very much like him. Pictures later. Dave has just come home so it is time to unload the dogs and set them up for their recovery.

  1. Welcome back home Yvette, Great to hear your appointments went well. Losing weight. . . sigh . . . Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was someone to do for us, that which we do for the dogs in our lives who need to lose weight? ‘Forced’ food rations, proper nutrition, forced exersizes (albeit beneficial) … sigh… We’re rootin’ for ya!

OHdoG that new boy is LOVELY! What an adorable face!
Grrr I turn red when I see a docked tail! Of course there is a multitude of reasons against it. I also believe it makes them have to work harder to allow others to read their intended body language. Our poor Duchess tries so hard to use her stumpy little tail. Grrrr people!
