I wish that I could really talk “dog” to find out what happened in the lives of these wonderful little creatures. On Tuesday morning bright and early Dave went to check the mail as usual and there just when I needed it most was a package from Wendy, Cassie and Brie Marie et al. I am sure Lisa B was involved somehow as she was there when it was sent off on Friday!! How cool is that. I desperately needed to shave down Mattisue before her spay on Wednesday – yup one day to get it done!
On Monday when I cleaned my little monsters – I accidentally let them out of the X-pen big wire crate combo. They were having so much fun doing zoomies and I had so much fun watching them that I left them out to integrate into gen pop (general population). So when today’s gift arrived I walked over to pick up Mattisue – once the pups heard my voice they were jumping into the air all excited. Mattisue was busy watching them so I scooped her up expecting a major hassle to groom her. Nobody could touch her when she arrived. Then we could pet her. But this was different.
I sat Mattisue on a wooden chair, tied the noose leash to the back of the chair and sat in a chair in front of her. She looked at me. I started the clippers and she sat still. Then I started with a big matt on her head. She sat still. This little girl was used to being groomed. She had to have had a home sometime in her life!! She was the best little girl ever. She even held her feet up to shave them too. Someone will have a very special sweet and gentle girl when they adopt Mattisue. She looks very much like a recent adoption. Can you guess who?
Her puppies did not recognize her and ran from her ki-yiying for their mother! I removed the biggest matt from her back in one chunk – it was over 4 inches thick. The rest filled a grocery bag to the top and weighed a good 10 pounds. Mattisue is half the size she was and much happier, cooler and happily moving freely and easily.
Her puppies will be going in the afternoon for their second vet check, vaccination and another deworming. They and Mattisue will be going to foster in Vancouver next weekend.

They sent a grooming tool !
Great to see what little Mattisue looks like

As always, they are absolutely adorable. Good stuff, Yvette!xxx
Very definitely a cocker/poodle mix. She looks just like her son Fergus! We are waiting for her bouncy personality to come out now that she is getting healthy.
