Shiba Inu named Max fell over 60ft cliff in West Van while hiking with dogsitter we hired.
She told us Max is probably dead.
But two weeks later we start to get calls from people who said they see him in North Van.
He was last sighted in Deep Cove in the afternoon on (Wed) May 9 2007.

“MISSING (STOLEN)”

My name is Ben and some one is trying to keep me. I sometimes wonder and because I am a pup I don’t realize how important it is to be at my real home. I love everyone and every dog I meet and sometimes that distracts me from going home. I need help getting back to where my family is. I apparently am living with someone that is not my owner and my family needs me to come home.
They love me
very much and I have 2 kids at home that are missing me dearly. I did have a red collar on with my name, address and phone numbers. Someone has changed my collar to a blue one (apparently). I’ve been seen in the Silverking area. My real owners have been driving around town every day looking for me. Please help me get home.
This dog is more than just a pet to us, he is a real big part of our family. We adopted him because we want him. We will not give up our search until we get him back. If anyone has any information on where he is we would be forever grateful. It’s been a long 4 weeks and we just want to have Ben back. Our whole family is missing Ben and we desperately want him home. I know that he is absolutely wonderful and anyone would love to have him but the fact is he already has a wonderful home with us.
